Voyager Insurance Relaunches Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance

February 22, 2022

Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance, a Voyager Insurance Services brand, is being re-launched on the 1st of March, offering couples the ability to cover their weddings from the 1st of April onwards. This marks the much-awaited comeback of the very popular Wedding Insurance product after the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the coronavirus pandemic forced the discontinuation of the product by insurers.

Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance has over 10 years’ experience in protecting couples’ special days and has been trusted to protect over 50,000 of them. This has led to the product being well renowned in the industry, earning Best Wedding Insurance provider at the Insurance Choice Awards in 2016 and 2018.

Currently, couples are faced with limited options when looking for wedding insurance policies after several providers left the market following the coronavirus pandemic. Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance aims to therefore increase this level of choice, meaning couples are better able to find a policy that is right for them.

This time, Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance is coming back with an added option currently neglected by other insurers. After the coronavirus pandemic forced 71% of couples to cancel, rearrange or amend their weddings*, Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance is in the unique position of being one of the only products on the market to offer a coronavirus cover option.
Managing Director, Steve Cox stated: ’We are really pleased to be able to relaunch our Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance product with the option to include cover for COVID-19,’ and continued by saying: ‘We have worked hard with our new insurers to provide cover that reflects the current demand.’

The coronavirus cover option will protect couples against the cancellation or rearrangement of their wedding due to one of the marrying couple or a close relative, such as a parent of the bride or groom contracting coronavirus, meaning SARS-CoV-2 or any mutation of it, including COVID-19, within 10 days of the wedding which would make the continuation of the ceremony inappropriate.

Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance will also protect other areas of a couples wedding, such as against Cancellation, up to the cost of £50,000, Financial Failure of Wedding Suppliers, up to £15,000, Ceremonial Attire, up to £10,000 and Photography & video, up to £10,000.

Furthermore, Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance will provide insurance solutions for weddings of varying sizes and budgets, providing 5 different levels of cover and with prices starting at just £45 for the Silver level of cover, couples will be able to choose the level of cover that is right for their wedding.

With the average cost of a wedding increasing year on year, up to £24,000 for those getting married in the UK in 2021**, it is clear more couples are wanting to spend the money to ensure their wedding is the greatest day of their lives. With that in mind, it is becoming even more important to protect weddings should the unexpected happen.

To financially protect couples, Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance policies can be purchased up to 2 years before the scheduled ceremony date, with any deposits paid prior to taking out a Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance policy being covered automatically.
