| Our past experience in running another large travel
insurance broker with its own in-house claims and emergency services
convinced us that this does not necessarily provide the ideal solution
to all requirements. It reduces flexibility and so much time can be
taken up with managing large numbers of staff that it distracts from
looking after our clients' interests and outweighs the advantages.
The Voyager team took a conscious decision, instead, to build strong
relationships with a number of specialist providers that allows
us to select those most suitable for a given client. Unusually,
we choose, contract and pay for the service provision ourselves
and this means that we retain complete control. There are dedicated
Voyager teams and phone lines.
From the traveller's point of view, insurance only comes into its
own when he or she has to make a claim or, more critically, when
a medical emergency arises. That is when the true value of a policy
and all the promises can really be tested and proven.
The emergency services we use have the resources to ensure a sympathetic
and professional team of co-ordinators and Doctors are genuinely
available 24 hours a day. |
